Helping Haiti
We here at MRN would like to help you help those in Haiti. We work alongside of Haiti’s Hope and would like to encourage you to go to their website www.haitishope.org for info on what you can do to help those in Haiti in the aftermath of the this great tragedy. I am going to go out on a limb and ask that as you consider what supplies to donate for shipping, to also consider the cost of doing so. 100% of financial donations will be used to get the supplies needed and shipped to Haiti during their time of need. We will continue to be in prayer with those of you who have loved ones in Haiti. Moving Forward
We continue to move forward as we try to recover from the bad management decisions on behalf of the last director. Since retaking over the Missionary Resource Network and the Resource Thrift Store in June, things are showing signs of improvement. i was brought in to shut down the thrift store before our lease was up, but God had other plans and has definitely done a great work. We are pleased to see many of the old customers coming back and bringing their friends with them. If you visit our store, let us know you read this article and recieve 30% off you purchase.
While the store is shaping up, the Ministry is still lacking. We have lost many of the supporters that the ministry had. i greatly appreciate those faithful few who still remain and support the ministry. i would like to ask you once again to prayfully consider supporting the Missionary Resource Network so we can start the work of loading and shipping containers as we had in the past. i would also like to ask you to join me in prayer for volunteers to come along side and help us here at the store. i have had to turn down donation pickups because i am alone most of the time and also have been turned down from doing pickups because i show up alone. Though i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, when it comes to moving things down stairs, common sense kicks in and i have to leave empty handed.
Lastly, as i try to help out a missionary who left me with some furniture to sell for his support, if you know anyone in the South Florida area looking for a queen bedroom set, i have an awesome looking one here for sale. You can check out the pictures in the Thrift Store category on the right side of this page. The bedroom set includes a Double pillowtop Stearns and Foster Boxspring and Mattress, headboard, footboard, sideboards, support slats with individual levelers, dresser w/mirror and nightstand. We are asking $1500.00 for the set and it is well worth it.
